From our last overnight stay on the meadow of a facility between youth hostel and conference venue with very kind and supportive staff we started our last stage to the station of Mönchengladbach. Until then I didn’t know much about Gladbach except it’s fairly good team. Now not much more completed my impression except of the very jamming car traffic – maybe wrong place, wrong time.
Route: Start camping Hardt MG – Station Gladbach – train to Koblenz – train to Mainz – cycling to Trebur – Gross-Gerau – Weiterstadt – Darmstadt
Dates: 8km to Gladbach Station; 16 to 20 degrees; 41km from Mainz to Darmstadt; 30 degrees; NW wind

From Mainz the path first followed the Rhine River upstream.
Agriculture in the Rhine fields, the pumpkins have started their growing.
Ice coffee in Gross-Gerau: rating 9,6. The reference from now on!

And the boys are back at home! Having forgotten my wonderful towel in Westport and then donated it to Earmon, our caring host after my accident, they welcomed us. Thanks to our daughters (I assume).
